What your 60 days looks like
The pilot is structured so your school gets the full SafePass experience progressively — starting with the core pickup flow and building up to every feature the platform offers.
Your school goes live
Upload your student roster and invite up to 50 hand-picked families — your "friends of the programme" — to register on the app. The first real pickups start flowing through SafePass: every collection logged, every parent notified, every delegate code tracked. Your gate tablet is live from day one.
Visitor monitoring + deeper features
Turn on visitor logging at your gate — every contractor, walk-in parent, and delivery driver is logged, timestamped, and on record. Create your first school trip, send your first announcement, and explore delegate codes for ad-hoc collections. By the end of week four you'll have a 24-month audit trail already building.
Free gate device installation
Schools that are actively using SafePass at the one-month mark qualify for a complimentary smart gate installation. We'll connect SafePass to your existing gate motor — no new motor needed — so your parents can open the school gate directly from the app. Every open is logged with the parent's name, time, and location. This is included at no cost for schools in the programme.
The full picture
With the gate connected, you'll experience SafePass the way it was designed to work — parents arriving, gate opening, child signed out, parent notified, all in one seamless flow. This is also when you can set up a driver — a school transport driver, or a private driver for one of your families. School trips, carpool, visitor logs, announcements, and the full audit trail. At the six-week mark we'll send you a complete usage report so you can see exactly what the platform has done for your school.
Your decision
At the end of 60 days you decide. Convert to a paid plan and everything continues without interruption — your data, your audit trail, your gate connection, your parents. If SafePass isn't right for your school, we'll export all your data and delete it within 30 days. No lock-in, no penalty, no hassle.

What the pilot costs
Nothing. The 60-day pilot is completely free. The smart gate device installation at day 30 is also included at no cost for schools in the programme. If you convert to a paid plan, your subscription starts from day 61 at the standard rate for your school size.
Is there a commitment?
None. You sign the School Service Agreement before the pilot starts — this covers the POPIA data processing obligations that apply from the moment your first student record enters the system. Beyond that, there is no financial commitment and no minimum term. The pilot simply ends at day 60 and you decide.
